IOur flagship hunt

Sandhill Crane

A sandhill crane is four feet of bird with a hawk’s eyesight. They will circle a spread a dozen times before they commit — and when they do, they hang over the decoys at twenty yards with their feet down, rattling.

We scout extensively leading up to every hunt and set up where the birds give us the best opportunity. Layout blinds, full-body decoys, and calling that brings them in close. Three birds per gun and one of the finest table birds in North America.

Plan your hunt

Fly into Lubbock (LBB), about fifty minutes from most of our fields. You bring your gun, your shells and your license; we handle the scouting, the blinds, the decoys, and the calling. Bird cleaning is available for an additional fee. Combine any two species in one trip, and book early — crane weekends fill first.
